The theme of this year’s Advent Study is “Waiting on the Lord”.   Every Advent is a season of waiting, as we celebrate the Good News of Christmas and as we wait for Christ to come again.  This year especially, we need to learn the lessons of Advent, as we wait on the Lord to deliver us from the pandemic.

This study focuses on four passages from Isaiah traditionally read during Advent which we will read as we light the Advent candles on Sunday.  Just as the Israelites waited on the Lord to deliver them, as they waited for the light to shine in the darkness, so too do we wait for the Lord to deliver us and make all things new.

ANCL’s small groups will be using this study during Advent, but anyone is welcome to read and reflect upon it alone or with others.
